Kira Fujikawa is a miko, a Shinto shrine maiden. As such, she is bound to cleanse the world from evil, the yokai demons. While the yokai can be benevolent or malevolent, they thrive on human emotions. It energizes the yokai. Kira and her family stand in their way. Kira is just a miko in training until the night a group of yokai destroys her family's ancestral shrine in search of a relic, which will imbue them with extraordinary power. The fate of humanity rests on Kira's shoulders. Kira must summon the death gods for help. They seem too eager to please. Are they too good to be true?
